Structure Design & Manufacturing
At Arena Americas, our in-house design team will provide solutions for any indoor event space, along with tent and structure designs capable of meeting virtually any challenge, including site constraints, terrain, climate, load requirements and custom specifications. Our team of talented designers have years of experience providing custom design solutions to clients around the world.
The process starts with the client sharing their ideas, as well as any design constraints, with their sales representative. Perhaps the area they would like to cover with a tent is not a standard size for us, maybe the tent needs to be snow-load engineered because it is a year-round installation, or perhaps there are special height requirements to accommodate what is going inside the tent. The sales representative will then share this information with our design team.
Arena Americas manufactures clearspan tents in-house so we have multiple aluminum extrusions and steel fittings, which are the building blocks for designing custom structures. The design team will take the event information and develop drawings and renderings using our standard tent components and customization where necessary. The sales representative will then present the concepts to the customer for additional feedback and in some cases multiple options are provided for the client to choose from.
One example of a custom design project was for the Fiat brand. Fiat was interested in building temporary showrooms for immediate sales while they built permanent dealership facilities, but wanted the temporary space to reflect the design standards of the brand. We developed a custom façade concept to integrate with our standard clearspan structures by using special aluminum composite panels and designed a framework to attach the panels to our structures. Fiat was very pleased with our designs and contracted with us to install a number of temporary dealerships around the United States.
The design team can also facilitate drawings to be used in engineering documentation. When required, a third-party structural engineer, licensed in the state where the event will be held, is contracted to produce certified, stamped calculations. These documents assist in obtaining the necessary tent and event permits from the local municipalities.
Once we have our client’s approved design in place we turn it over to our in-house manufacturing division, Eventec. Keeping the manufacturing in-house gives us several key advantages. It allows us to implement and adhere to the highest level of quality control. It also enables us to eliminate the budgetary guesswork and additional timeline challenges associated with outsourced work.
Arena’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Oak Creek, WI houses several large pieces of equipment, including a CNC milling center for aluminum tent parts, multiple Kabar welding machines for vinyl panel manufacturing, an array of sewing machines, and even graphic production equipment. We machine all of the aluminum parts and sew and weld all of the vinyl for our clearspan structures.
Arena Americas has 20 full time employees dedicated to manufacturing all of our standard and custom clearspan components in house.
