Red Bull “Art of Can” Exhibit

  • Date: November 7-16, 2014
  • Venue: Chicago, IL
  • Size: 2,700 sq ft (41' x 66') Overall Tent

Red Bull asked artists to conceptualize and create pieces of art using Red Bull energy drink cans as their primary material. The artwork was showcased at the Red Bull Art of Can exhibition, which was free and open to the public. A panel of six judges chose the top three winners.

Red Bull needed a temporary space solution for the exhibition, but did not want a traditional tent. Their designers conceptualized a unique space and we designed a parapet façade to meet their vision. This parapet façade had a special bi-directional tensioning system to tension the panels vertically and horizontally to provide a seamless surface for custom graphics. We helped Red Bull wrap the parapet façade with their artwork for 360 degree branding.

The tent could not be staked so it was held in place with a series of concrete ballast blocks. It was completely enclosed with glass wall panels and glass doors.
